IT'S A GIRL!!! YAY! We are sooo excited--especially Sydnee and I. She already looks so cute on the scan...but I may be a tad biased, I'm not sure! HA! Everything's growing exactly as it should be--she's so active--doing little twists and turns in there. AND, so cute, like my other 2 kids, she had her feet crossed at the ankles. Who knows why they do this, but I love it! I am due March 9,09. So I am about 18 weeks along. Just thought we'd FINALLY share the good news OFFICIALLY!

acupuncture #2

i had acupuncture appointment #2 today... i know- you're all super excited to hear about it too ;)

anywhoo--this time i laid on my stomach and he put some in my back, the back of my head, and sides of my head.  The dr said one more treatment and that should knock out these headaches at least for the duration of my special condition.  GOOD news!  PLUS, it's costing not even  1/3 of what my migrane meds would have cost and it's medication free! Love that!  For those of you with chronic aches and pains that don't seem to have cure, give acupuncture a try...it just may work!

Acupuncture

Happy Monday!  To start this week off, I went for my first acupuncture appointment this morning.  I have been having severe headaches and nothing seems to help.  So I thought-why not?  It was so cool!  The needles didn't hurt AT ALL when he was putting them in.  He put them in my arms, neck, head and 3 on my forehead.  I'm a bit sore now, but nothing compared to the migranes I've been having.  I have another appointment on Wednesday- wish me luck! :)  

UT GAME!!!

Matt and I left Fiesta Texas day after a couple hours to drive to Austin for the UT game. Oh my gosh!!! WE. HAD. SO. MUCH. FUN!!!!!!!!! The seats were great, the tailgaiting parties were like none i've ever seen before, the team spirit was in full force, and we even had a parking pass. (for anyone who's ever been to a UT game, or any professional game for that matter, this was one of the best things!!) I think that was the most burnt orange I have ever seen in my life! I love it!!! I totally wore all texas gear *even a TEXAS purse!*, had tatoos on my cheeks, and a pompom in my hair. I was loving it. And, i do have to say, that as a former cheerleader, I REALLY wanted to get down on the field and cheer! LOL! I know, I know, I'm the stereotypical cheerleader, BUT it takes so much more work than anyone realizes AND it's sooooo fun!! I asked Matt if it was too late for me to go to UT and be a cheerleader....his response?? ....."well you can certainly get one of those uniforms!" HA! Hopefully we'll make it up there again this season....

Fiesta Texas Day

Granny Sharon's (matt's mom) work had their annual Fiesta Texas family day yesterday...and we got to go!! It is always soooo fun--they close the entire park just for valero employees and their guests! Free food- rides- free game tickets! The kids won a few stuffed animals and some superhero capes. A great time was had by all. Matt and I left a bit early to go to the UT game in Austin...that's another post....enjoy the Fiesta TX pics!

Soccer....

so brian had his first soccer game this past saturday--it was so cute! he has 3 other friends already on the team, Ben, Bodee, and Timmy. Ben, Brian and Bodee like to stick together--we call them the 3 b's! How cute are they?! Bodee was sick for the first game- but Ben and Brian did AWESOME!! poor kids- there was no shade and it was quite hot--but they were troopers and even scored some goals! oh- their team is called the Raptors and bri is NUMBER 5!

Fancy Nancy Party

Sydnee went to a Fancy Nancy Birthday party a few weeks ago...so fun! Love the girly theme, and the books are so cute too. She had fun being "fancy"--thanks Krista and Annie for a super party!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Yesterday was the first day of school!! My little ones started preschool and preK! Weird!! They were so excited to go and they got to bring their lunches. Sydnee goes Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 815-1215, and Brian goes MWF from 815-315. It was so weird to have so much time alone! I started teaching some day yoga classes, so that helped fill the void! They did pretty well considering both my kids' personalities! HA! Brian had a fence climbing/not listening incident and Sydnee got pretty upset when Brian had to leave the common room to go to his class, but all in all--it went pretty well! I was the one crying when matt and I walked out the door-luckily I brought sunglasses so Syd couldn't see. She didn't cry when I left! That's progress! Hopefully tomorrow we will have minimal incidents!

Sydnee is dancin

Sydnee started dance class last thursday....it was....interesting. She cried practically the whole time. Why? who knows why this kid cries. She cried for weeks in nursery after we left her in there....but by the last 20 mins of class she seemed to finally calm down. Hopefully this Thursday is better.....

Mom and Kate's Visit!

So my mom and my sister and niece came to visit this past week and we had soooo much fun!! Kylie and Sydnee got along so well! It will be great fun (and trouble i'm sure) when they are older! We went to the zoo, the outlets, downtown to market square, and to sea world. They had to leave a day early because of the hurricane coming in...my sis lives in Alabama and they didn't want to be driving in a hurricane! We had so much fun and can't wait until Christmas when everyone is together again!

Pedernalas State Park

well, as you know we love to go looking for adventure...and one saturday found us with nothing to do in the morning and afternoon, so we ventured up to Pedernalas State Park. Pretty fun, although with the lack of rain, the river was down and the falls were non existant! Weird. We forgot swim suits, so we got wet in our clothes. I actually didn't get wet on purpose, I slipped on a rock and fell in! But it felt REALLY good since it was so stinkin hot outside.

Downtown fun

ok so i know it's been FOREVER since i last posted (GASP!) but things have been VERY crazy around here...as all the new posts will prove! hahahaha
for our anniversary, matt and I went downtown and stayed the night at the Westin Riverwalk. We ate yummy Ruths Chris steaks, walked along the river, and just had fun being together, alone! The Westin sent up (free!) YUMMY chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. (which we didn't drink of course, but it was a nice gesture!)
