CHRISTMAS EVE!

Our Christmas eve was JAM PACKED this year. Add unpacking an entire house this year, and we were exhausted by the time the day was done! We had a fun time at the annual Wheelus family party, where the kids were so thoroughly spoiled! We ate, talked, laughed, opened presents, and played the white elephant game. THEN, we came home to get in our annual christmas pjs (THANKS MOM!), read the Christmas story, throw out food for the reindeer, leave treats for Santa, and get to bed. Notice- the clock behind us says 10:10 PM! That is accurate, my friends. Yes, MY kids were up that late.

MOVING DAY- FINALLY!

Well, moving day finally came! After a couple months of preparation, we were READY! We didn't, however, like our moving date. It was set for Dec 23rd. Seriously?? 2 days before Christmas??? WHAT!?? Obviously, I was freaking out, and I knew FOR SURE that no one would be able to help us, and we would be moving our entire house, with just matt and I. Well, luckily, I was so wrong! We had a great many people load up the the truck and trek back and forth and help us unload. In the end, it took 2 trips with a 24 ft moving truck, a truck, 2 van trips, and another trip with matt's dad's trailblazer and a trailer behind FULL. How in the heck did we fit that much crap in my tiny little house?????? Well, it's all put away nicely in this big wonderful house. Now please say a prayer that we don't have to move for AT LEAST 6 months!
Oh- these pictures are from the last stragglers that were wonderful ALL DAY LONG! They had a great fun time getting our huge couch and the bunk beds upstairs. Thanks guys--you will never know how much it means to us that you helped. Really!
And a VERY special shout out to my dear dear friend Krista, who took Brian and Sydnee ALL DAY LONG for me! There is a very special place in heaven for you!

A package, a program and a class party!

Anyone want a package??? I have 3 kids who are desperate to be mailed! LOL!

On Wednesday, Dec 16th, Sydnee had a program at her school. She was so cute!! Their class sang some christmas songs, and then there was cookies and punch afterward. I would've taken pictures of the actual program, but it was outside with TERRIBLE lighting, and you could barely see anything in the picture. Boo ;( I guess you'll have to take my word for it that she was one of the better singers in her class! On Friday, Dec 18th, I got the lovely pleasure of helping out in Brian's class for his holiday party. I tell you what- Kindergarten teachers are SAINTS!! If I had to deal with 21 5-6 year olds ALL DAY LONG, not just 1 1/2 hours, I would probably be going to jail for killing someone. Ms newman is a great teacher, and we're so glad Brian's in her class!

Brian is 6!

Whew! It's been a whirlwind birthday weekend! Brian officially turned 6 on Friday, December 4th! I really can't believe it's been that long. Where does time go? We started the birthday festivities on Thursday night with a friend party at Chuck E Cheese. Normally, I despise Chuck E Cheese- what with the millions of screaming kids and germ infested toys...but my kids love it, so that's why we go there. Anyway, it was actually really tolerable! There was hardly anyone there, and it was fairly quiet! Brian had a great time partying with his friends. On Friday (his actual birthday), I took cupcakes to his class. However....he threw up when they were eating the birthday cupcakes, so I picked him up early from school. Poor kid- he was so embarrassed! He was feeling ok that night, so we went ahead and went out to dinner for his birthday. He chose to go to Salsalito (a mexican restaurant) because he DESPERATELY wanted sopaillas! Weeeelllll.....before our food came, we had another throw up incident...he at least made it to the door of the bathrooms so that it didn't happen in front of the entire restaurant.
( Now let me just clarify- No, I do not take my kids out if they are sick. No, I do not like to expose the entire world to whatever it is they have. I like them to rest, and get better ASAP. Brian said he was feeling fine, he had no fever or any other symptoms except the whole throwing up thing. So I thought we were ok. )
Anyway, we came home and he opened more presents from matt and I, and my mom and dad. We had one more episode before bed, but after that he was totally fine. Slept fine, no puking, no fever, etc. Saturday, he went to Sea World with Matt and Sydnee, and was great. Sunday comes...fine...no problems- UNTIL- we are having a family birthday party for Brian and Charlie, and he throws up again. Still no fever or any other symptoms. Still acting fine! WEIRD! I have no idea what's going on with this kid! And I feel terrible that his special birthday weekend was plagued by bouts of throwing up. I kept him home from school today, just to be safe, but how crazy is this little bug that he has???
