Brian's Championship Game!

Brian's flag football team played their last game on Nov 13.  It was the championship for their division and THEY WON!  Brian caught an awesome pass during the game, and grabbed a few flags to stop the other team.  He was sooo excited, and we were so proud of him!  Seriously, though, the anxiety I got before and during this game was ridiculous!  I don't know if I can take 10 more years of games like this!

Veterans Day kiddos

I know it's already passed, but I just wanted to give a shout out to all my family and friends who have or are currently serving for our great country.  I am so grateful for the sacrifices that have been made for the freedom of our country.  THANK YOU!!  My kids are so proud of Derrick and Aunt Ashley (who are currently serving in the Army) and wore Derrick's company shirts to school on Veteran's Day.  Brian says he wants to fly jets and be an MP in the Air Force...can you do both? hahahaha !

Happy Birthday to Matt!

Matt turned the big 3-1 on Nov 9th!  Oldie for sure!  We celebrated by having his favorite cookie cake and presents.  We also went out to dinner on Friday, the 12th, with his parents and brother.  Happy Birthday, babe, I can't believe your in your early 30s now! hahahaha!

Spurs game... Nov 6,2010

On Nov 6, we were lucky enough to get 4 FLOOR seats to the Spurs vs Houston game.  AWESOME!! We took our friends, Angie and Greg, went to dinner (no comment about the terrible service at the Stone Werks at the Quarry) and then headed to the game.  SO. MUCH. FUN.  We love the Spurs, and having some good friends with us made it that much more fun.  Spurs won...in overtime...by 1 point! Yes, that was a GREAT game to have floor seats to.  It's also surreal to be so close to see how really HUGE these players are! Amaaazzziiing!!

Greg and Angie

This isn't a good pic, but i thought the guy behind us was hilarious...posing in our picture.  Weirdo!

OCT 30-31 Halloween and Trunk or Treat

On Halloween weekend, we were soooo busy....Saturday had the Diabetes 5k, the kids games, and there was a trunk or treat, carnival and chili cookoff at our church.  We took the kids and Charles and Sharon (matt's parents) over to the church to have some fun.  Brian was a Sheriff, Sydnee was a black kitty, Lexie was a fairy of some sort, I was my trademark "witch", Matt was "the treat", and Charles and Sharon even dressed up too!  It was a pretty fun time, and the kids got TONS of candy. Eek! On Halloween we went over to visit Nanny in the nursing home so the kids could show her their costumes, and then we went back to Charles and Sharon's for dinner and trick or treating through their neighborhood.  It was a stinkin EXHAUSTING weekend, but everyone had tons of fun.  Happy Halloween!!  I can't believe it's November!!

October 30- Brian's game

October 30 was the last game of the regular flag football season for Brian.  They won! So they are going to the championship game on November 13th!! YAY!!!  Matt and I were on the edge of our seats the entire game.  Yes, I am one of those parents.  Not the mean, raving lunatic ones, but the one who screams and cheers and most definitely keeps score.  :)  I had knots in my stomach the whole time hoping they would win.  I don't know how I am going to take this "game stress" for the next 10 years!

Diabetes Walk- Oct 30,2010

On October 30, we participated in the annual Step Out to fight Diabetes 5k walk/run.  We have gone 3 years in a row now, and our whole family participates.  Lexie and Sydnee had strollers this year, just like last year.  Brian walked ! Actually, about 10 mins into the walk, Sydnee said she wanted to "run", and finished the 5k out of the stroller!  This is a big feat for Sydnee...those of you who really know her, will totally understand what i mean! Matt pushed Lexie in a stroller, and Charles and Sharon took Sydnee.  I ran the race again this year and I finished in 22 mins. My best time ever! A 5K is 3.2 miles by the way. YAY!  I am working REALLY hard to prepare for my 1/2 marathon which is in 2 weeks.  Anyway...enjoy the pics! Oh, and be kind, it was really early! hahahahaha!

Rockwell Ryan Voge

Where do I even start with this post???  Rockwell Ryan Voge made his entrance into this world on Oct. 24, 2010.  8lbs even.  20 inches even.  He is the most squeezable little thing, and he looks just like his mom.  I have been best friends with Nicole for about 5 years.  I love this girl! I have been waiting for 5 years for this baby! hahahahaha!! Anyway, Nicole's seen me have 2 babies, and she finally decided to join the bandwagon and have one herself.  I cant' wait to see this little man grow up...I feel like his surrogate Auntie, since none of their family lives nearby.  Believe me, I will spoil him just like any Auntie would.  Here are some fun pics....

Red Ribbon Week (Oct 25-29)

The kids had Red Ribbon Week at school last week.  Every day was themed and the kids got to dress up.  They had SO much fun! Below each picture is a description of what the day was....
Monday- Silly Sock day

Brian had an assignment to make a pumpkin of what he wants to be when he grows up-- it's a Sheriff Pumpkin!
